Looking for a spooky-cute crochet pattern to make for Halloween? Here's a completely no-sew poisonous mushroom doll that you can make it all sorts of creepy colors! I'm excited to share the free written pattern for this fun project...scroll down to get started!
The Toxic “Fungi” may be a poisonous mushroom doll, but it’s too cute to resist! This no-sew amigurumi doll is designed with plush yarn and makes a fun Halloween project. You can also crochet it using thinner yarns to create a smaller, keychain version. They're great for Fall / Autumn season markets. Have fun creating the Toxic Fungi in a variety of different colors!
About the Project
- Easy / beginner-friendly
- Works up quickly
- No-sew
- Stashbuster project; great for using up leftover yarn scraps
- Can be turned into a keychain
Yarn
The Toxic Fungi is crocheted with Hobbii Halloween Honey Bunny Candy yarn, which is a limited-edition color for the Halloween season. This chenille velvet yarn makes wonderfully soft and plush amigurumi. You are also welcome to try out different yarn weights and fibers to create different looks and sizes. For instance, if you'd like a smaller keychain version, try using worsted medium weight cotton or acrylic yarn (and a smaller hook, such as 2.75mm).
