- Home decor: hang it from the ceiling, to a door knob, on a lamp, or more!
- Car rearview mirror ornament: hang it from the rearview mirror for a nice yarny touch!
- Gift: last-minute birthday gift, holiday gift, stocking stuffer, or non-candy Easter egg surprise
- Party favors: make one for each party attendee! Great for Spring birthdays~
- Craft fair product: sell it at handmade craft markets. This is a great market prep pattern to work up because it's quick, easy, and no-sew. Make them in a variety of bird colors!
- Random Acts of Crochet Kindness: hide them around in the community with a little message as gifts to whoever finds them! You can also make these for charity.
Yarn
I designed these cute birdies using velvet chenille yarn and a 5mm hook. They came out very squishy and soft! My recommended plush yarns would be Hobbii yarn (Honey Bunny, Toucan, or Baby Snuggle). Of course, you can also try thinner yarns or other types of fibers to create a different look. For instance, worsted medium weight 4 yarn (e.g., Lion Brand Heartland, 24/7 Cotton Yarn, Brava Worsted or Caron Simply Soft) and a smaller hook (2.75mm) will produce an extra-tiny doll.
