A lot of you have been waiting for this adorable amigurumi to be released. Well, it's a happy day, because the super cute SNOWY SEAL PUP is here!

LINKS

Snowy Seal Pup amigurumi pattern is an adorable baby seal designed with a combination of yarns. The body is made using super bulky weight plush yarn, while the muzzle and flippers are made with medium weight yarn. This quick and easy project is beginner-friendly, using only the basic amigurumi stitches like single crochet, increase, decrease, slip stitch, chain, and the magic ring.

It’s the perfect pocket size stuffed animal toy for young children. This cuddly seal takes little yarn to make, and is suitable for craft fairs and markets. It’s also a great last-minute birthday gift, Christmas holiday gift, or stocking stuffer.

About the Pattern

  • Fast
  • Easy / Beginner-friendly
  • Yarn scrap stashbuster (takes up little yarn)
  • About 6 inches in size
  • Can be used with a variety of yarn fibers and weights for different results

Pattern Extras

You can add an adorable "adoption certificate" with this finished seal doll! Check out my free adoption certificate printable, which is perfect for sea animal creations.

If you'd like to give your seal pup a little fish, I recommend using my free Mini Minnows crochet pattern. You'll be able to crochet a small no-sew fish that's the perfect size for your seal!

Recommended Yarn

The body is made using super bulky weight plush yarn. I like chenille velvet yarns like Toucan, Honey Bunny, and Baby Snuggle. The muzzle and flippers are made with medium weight yarn. I used Hobbii Friends Cotton 8/8, which is sturdy and has great stitch definition, which brings some nice contrast against the plush body.

Other yarn options can totally be used as well. Check out my testers' finished seals to see how different yarns can result in different looks!

Pattern Testing

This project has been thoroughly tested by a team of 15 crocheters of varying crochet levels, to ensure that the written pattern is easy to follow and free of errors. Below are their finished seals and Instagram handles. As you can see, a variety of yarn types and weights have been used to create varying results!
