Recommended Yarn
This pattern was designed with Hobbii Peacock Yarn. It can also work well with other faux fur yarns, like Lion Brand's Go for Faux Yarn. Go for Faux (weight 6) is a little thicker than Peacock yarn (weight 5), so I recommend using a slightly larger hook, such as 8mm or 9mm with it. You will end up with a slightly larger bag with thicker yarn and a larger hook.
The wonderful thing about fur yarn is not only the end result, but that it's quite forgiving to work with! Since the stitches are hardly visible, you don't need to worry as much about small mistakes in your work. It may be helpful to review this guide on crocheting with fluffy yarn.
Uses
This furry animal pouch makes a great birthday gift or Christmas holiday gift for red panda lovers. It’s also an eye-catching product at craft fairs. You can crochet it as an accessory for conventions as well!

Disclaimer: Typically, Sweet Softies written patterns include step-by-step progress photos, but this pattern does not include a photo tutorial outside of photos of the individual crochet pieces. For that reason, the price for this pattern reflects this and is cheaper. It is recommended for advanced crocheters who are familiar with crocheting using faux fur yarn.
