Part 4: UFO Details

Want to crochet along with me? Watch the Part 3 Video Tutorial!

Construction:
The UFO details include the upper trim, middle ring, and feet. You must have Part 3 (the UFO base) complete before starting on this section. All details are crocheted directly onto the UFO base.

Upper Trim

  1. Attach white (or desired color) yarn to the first unworked front loop created in R10.
  2. Sl st in each front loop around.
  3. FO with a tail and weave in the ends.

Middle Ring

  1. Attach dark grey (or desired color) yarn to the first unworked front loop created in R15.
  2. Sl st in each front loop around.
  3. FO with a tail and weave in the ends.

Feet (x3)

  1. Insert hook between a st in R19-R20. Pull dark grey (or desired color) yarn through. Make a puff stitch:

(YO, insert hook, YO, pull through a loop) x 3. Pull through all 7 loops on the hook. Ch. FO with a long tail for pulling back into the st. Weave in all ends.

  2. Repeat to make a total of 3 puffs, equally spaced apart.

Congrats on finishing Part 4! Now it's time to customize your alien or UFO further (if desired), snap some photos, and submit your entries to the Creator Challenge! Visit the main page for the deadline and instructions on how to submit.
