Materials

  • Super bulky weight 6 chenille velvet yarn in desired colors (I used Hobbii's Toucan yarn in white, light grey, dark grey, and green)
  • 5mm crochet hook
  • 12mm plastic safety eyes (x2)
  • Fiberfill stuffing
  • Scissors
  • Yarn needle

Part 2: Alien Limbs

Want to crochet along with me? Watch the Part 2 Video Tutorial!

We will make the arms, legs, and antennae to finish our alien bases. Crochet the following parts on top of the body base you made in Part 1.

Arms & Legs (x4)

The arms and legs are made using puff stitches:
Attach desired color yarn. (YO, insert hook, YO, pull through a loop) x 3. Pull through all 7 loops on the hook. Ch. FO with a long tail for pulling back into the st.

The arms are placed between R9-R10.

The legs are placed between R11-R12.

Part 3: Antennae (x2)

  1. Attach desired color yarn under a st in R2-R3.
  2. Ch 3.
  3. FO with a tail. If desired, tie a knot before trimming the end to keep it from unraveling.Repeat steps 1-3 the second antennae.

Congrats on finishing Part 2! Stay tuned for Part 3 coming up. (Visit the main page for links to all the parts, or sign up for my mailing list to be notified when each part is released!)
