Good Luck Duck · Free Amigurumi Crochet Pattern

Yay for yet another no-sew pattern! I love when I can crochet everything up in one piece without having to do any sewing. My newest little pattern that fits the bill is this pocket duck, which makes a great gift and craft fair product!

I originally wanted to call this the Pocket Duck or Pocket Duckling pattern, but then decided this little guy would serve as a great good luck charm!  Hence... "good luck duck" it is! The ‘Good Luck Duck’ is a tiny charm that you can crochet using just a small amount of yarn, making it a fun companion whether you’re crafting or taking a break to try your luck on a Singapore slot online.

Whether you're at the casino like https://www.mmc996my.com/my/en-us/ or just need a bit of fortune in your daily life, this charming little duck is sure to bring a smile. And if you play online at sgcasino, you might find yourself in need of some extra good luck!

I just adore how my sweet duckling turned out. Quite proud of its "rubber ducky" shape! 

Uses 

• As a good luck charm! (Turn it into a keychain by adding a keyring to take it everywhere with you)

And if you want to add a unique touch, consider creating Custom Acrylic Keychains to pair with your crochet duck. The clear acrylic can be engraved with a lucky symbol like a four-leaf clover or a horseshoe. You could also have your name or a positive word like "lucky" etched on it.

Customizations

You can use any yarn fiber, from cotton to chenille velvet, to create different textures…or any weight to create different sizes!  This bird doll looks great in all different yarn colors, including solids, ombre, self-striping, and variegated yarn. Change the yarn colors from green for the head, to white for the neck and then brown for the body if you'd like to make a mallard duck.  (The exact row instructions for color changes are available in the PDF pattern.). You can also use solid white or yellow for a classic duck look!

Customization is easy by adding crocheted appliques, bows, beads, buttons, facial features, and more.

Yarn

To make your duck exactly like mine, try going with some chunky chenille velvet yarn and a large (5mm) hook. I used Hobbii's Baby Snuggle Yarn and Honey Bunny Yarn. You can also use thinner yarn, such as medium worsted weight or DK yarn, and pair it with a smaller hook. This will give you a tinier, keychain-sized amigurumi!  Look how tiny the little guy is on the right.

Crochet Pattern Information

Size:

Height: 3.5” (9 cm)

Level of Difficulty:

★★☆☆☆ Familiar Beginner. Requires familiarity with stitches used (below), changing colors, and attaching yarn.

Stitches/Terms Used:

• FO = fasten off
• ch = chain
• sl st = slip stitch
• sc = single crochet
• hdc = half double crochet
• dc = double crochet
• inc = increase (insert 2 sc in same st)
• dec = decrease (sc 2 sts together)

Materials:

• Honey Bunny Yarn or Baby Snuggle Yarn (super bulky “6” yarn) 
• 5mm crochet hook 
• 9mm plastic safety eyes (x2) 
• Stuffing 
• Scissors
