Dragon Tail Scarf · Crochet Pattern

Are you a dragon lover? You're going to ADORE this pattern. Say hello to my newest amigurumi (and accessory crossover) design: the Dragon Tail Scarf!

LINKS

The cute, cozy, and cruelty-free Dragon Scarf features a snuggly dragon that curls and wraps around you. You can let it sit over your shoulders, or loop the tail through a hidden strap to have this magical creature "hug" your neck.

Construction

This whimsical winter accessory is low-sew, requiring sewing for only the ears and horns to the head.

Sizing

The size is easily adjustable, and the pattern includes tips on how to increase or decrease the length and width to fit both kids and adults. Otherwise, follow the pattern for a general one-size-fits-most size! This crochet pattern is perfect as a birthday gift, Christmas holiday gift, or to prep for craft fairs and markets.

Gifting & Selling

This low-sew crochet pattern is perfect as a birthday gift, Christmas holiday gift, or to prep for craft fairs and markets. If you're selling, please remember to credit me as the pattern designer with my name and site, such as: "Pattern design by Sweet Softies, www.sweetsofties.com".

Yarn

This pattern is designed with Hobbii's super bulky weight plush yarn. I used Toucan Sprinkle in the color "Plum" for the main color, which is a beautiful purple with enchanting pink specks! For the secondary color, I chose to use regular Toucan yarn in the color "Cotton Candy".

You're most certainly welcome to use any color combination you fancy! I can see this pattern looking amazing in all sorts of different shades!

In a nutshell, this pattern is:

  • Quick to work up
  • Low-sew
  • Adjustable in size
  • Customizable with different colors
  • Great for gifting
  • Great as market inventory

Do you love the idea of animal-themed scarves and crocheting amigurumi as clothing accessories? If so, you'll enjoy my free Fox Tail Scarf pattern as well! It's another low-sew pattern (you only need to sew on the ears) and you can use all sorts of different color combinations for it. Create a classic red fox, a pretty orange fox, a grey wolf or blue wolf, or even use all-white for an Arctic fox! The Fox Tail Scarf is both a free written pattern and free video tutorial, with the option to get a paid PDF pattern with photo references.

If you'd like to make a snuggler version of the Dragon Scarf, I do have one for you! This is Yumi's Night Guardian, and it's the perfect cuddler companion for babies and toddlers. (Be sure to use embroidered or sewn felt eyes instead of plastic safety eyes to avoid choking hazard for little ones.)
