Uses
There are many ways to make use of this pattern, such as:
- Keychain: add a keyring to turn it into a little backpack buddy instead of a hanging ornament!
- Christmas tree ornament: make a bunch of baby snowmen in different colored hats and scarves to decorate your Christmas tree!
- Car rearview mirror ornament: hang it from the rearview mirror for a nice yarny touch during the winter season!
- Gift: last-minute holiday gift or stocking stuffer
- Craft fair product: sell it at handmade craft markets. This is a great market prep pattern to work up because it's quick, easy, and no-sew.
- Random Acts of Crochet Kindness: hide them around in the community during wintertime with a little message as gifts to whoever finds them! You can also make these for charity.
Yarn
I designed the Baby Snowman using medium weight 4 yarn. My favorite yarn choices include: Lion Brand Heartland, 24/7 Cotton Yarn, Brava Worsted or Caron Simply Soft. Alternatively, you can use this same pattern but a different yarn and hook to create a different-sized snowman!
For instance:
- Use super bulky yarn (like velvet chenille) and a 5mm hook to create a big, plush snowman!
- Use fingering weight yarn and a smaller hook to create an extra-tiny snowman! (A good size for keychains!)
